REPENT AND BELIEVE IN THE GOSPEL

"Repent and believe the gospel" is a message from Jesus. It means to turn away from sin and turn toward God. Repentance is not sufficient by itself, and faith in the Gospel is also required. Repentance involves changing one's mind and agreeing that one's sins are abhorrent, and choosing to live for God. Believing means to be fully convinced.
